What ICP offers

EucA's International Career Pathways are a series of international career coaching modules that institutions can propose to their students who want to pursue professions internationally. 

 

The aim of these modules is to pave the way for institutions to offer to their students interactive and highly personalized learning experiences that are enriching both personally and professionally!

Since 2008 EucA has helped students in developing their academic and soft skills in international settings. Now it's time to face the next educational frontier: employability!

Module 1: The College Experience

This module will show students how they can use the experiences in their colleges in a job search and networking outreach.

 

WHO IS IT FOR:

  • 1st and 2nd-year bachelor students from all academic fields who need to learn how they can highlight in their CVs their university and college experiences.

  • 1st and 2nd-year bachelor students from all academic fields who want to leverage their college experience for their career development.

 

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Articulate the skills and accomplishments developed in their college into job-searching tools and during interviews.

  • Leverage positively the college's ecosystem of contacts to build their network.

  • Choose which activities to engage in in order to gain job experience.

Module 2: Career Exploration for International Experiences

This module will guide students with international aspirations to define their interests and develop multiple career options to pursue globally.

WHO IS IT FOR:

  • 3rd-year bachelor or master students from all academic fields who are undecided on what careers to pursue internationally.

  • 1st and 2nd-year bachelor students who wish to start developing the knowledge, skills, and experiences that will help them be more competitive in their international job search after graduation.

 

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Map out their strengths and articulate them to employers internationally.

  • Design a vision and set goals to pursue for their professional future.

  • Identify resources and people able to provide guidance for their international career exploration.

Module 3: Getting Ready for My Career

This module will help students showcase their credentials and competencies, becoming not only qualified candidates but competitive job seekers!

WHO IS IT FOR:

  • 3rd-year bachelor, master, or PhD students from all academic fields who are applying for their first jobs or internships, but also universities abroad.

  • 3rd-year bachelor, master, or PhD students from all academic fields who need to practice their job search skills to become more competitive.

 

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Articulate their strengths in writing or orally in interviews.

  • Create impactful job-searching tools (CV, LinkedIn, cover letters, or action plans) and know how to adapt them to every vacancy they are applying for.

  • Advocate for themselves in the job selection process, either in interviews or contract negotiation.

Module 4: International Networking and Personal Branding

This module will support students in building their personal brand, curate their online image and reputation, improve their networking skills and use LinkedIn properly

WHO IS IT FOR:

  • 3rd-year bachelor or master students from all academic fields who need to build confidence to network with teachers, professionals, or alumni.

  • 3rd-year bachelor or master students about to graduate who are preparing to transition into the job market.

  • NB: all participants must have a very good CV and LinkedIn profile (for students who completed Module 3 or an EucA career coaching session, bookable for free on the EucA website at https://www.euca.eu/euca-career-coaching).

 

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Complete their profile accurately in all the sections, articulating their values and accomplishments in their LinkedIn summary.

  • Discover and map contacts and network successfully, starting from their College or university contacts.

  • Draft personalized messages to connect and network online.

Module 5: Future-Ready Careers: AI Optimization, Resilience Building, and Job Searching

Get ready for tomorrow's careers with our course. Learn AI for job searches, build resilience, and explore global opportunities. Join us to excel in the ever-evolving job market.

WHO IS IT FOR:

  • 3rd-year bachelor or master students from all academic fields who need to learn where to look for internships or jobs suitable to their studies and interests.

  • 3rd-year bachelor or master students about to graduate and unsure of opportunities the job market offers.

 

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of leveraging AI tools effectively in the internship/job search process, integrating practical tips and tricks into their approach.

  • Reflect on mistakes and pressures, develop proactive strategies to maintain mental health, and approach internship searches with confidence and perseverance.

Module 6: Erasmus+ Toolkit

This module will help outgoing students learn how to face an Erasmus+ experience through a systematic approach to make the most of an international experience.

 

WHO IS IT FOR:

  • Bachelor or master outgoing students about to join an Erasmus+ international experience. This module is aimed at students who are considering an international study experience or are already a holder of an Erasmus+ grant to leave in 2024/2025 or 2025/2026

 

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • This course aims to provide the Erasmus student with the tools to make the most of the experience and to better prepare for an international experience, through a holistic approach.

Module 7: EU Careers and Opportunities

The aim of the module is to provide theoretical and practical tools to understand the opportunities of working in European institutions and EU-funded projects.

WHO IS IT FOR:

  • Bachelor or master students interested in European careers and enrolled in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs for all courses of study

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Distinguish the different opportunities offered by the EU to gauge opportunities for starting a European career.

  • After a comprehensive mapping, students will be able to apply their skills and begin the application processes for EU opportunities.
