Luca Demontis (1988 - 2024) was a passionate student affairs professional in higher education. He served as the Head of Education at Fondazione Collegio San Carlo in Modena, supporting university students to achieve the best in their careers. 

His passion for supporting young people was unmeasurable. One of the pioneers of student affairs in Europe, he is missed by his colleagues, family, and friends.

In his name, EucA funds the Luca Demontis Scholarship Program. A project honoring Luca’s life’s by empowering the next generation of student affairs leaders to pursue excellence, innovation, and service ​

The Luca Demontis Scholarship Program is aimed at young student affairs professionals from developing countries and underrepresented groups

The recipients will benefit from:

Covering full or partial expenses to attend international professional development events, removing barriers to accessing world-class opportunities.

Who benefits

Selection criteria

  • Professional experience: The scholarship will prioritize professionals with entry-level careers (2-5 years)

  • Country of residence and country's living costs: Professionals from developing countries will receive special consideration. There are no geographic limitations: the scholarship is open to applicants worldwide, and it's not limited to Europe or EU residents.

  • Personal economy: Candidates must provide financial information.

  • Membership status: While all applicants are welcome, priority will be given to candidates from EucA member institutions or individual members.

  • Social Group: Special consideration will be taken for those from vulnerable groups.
